Memorable Monday
Well what can I say, I had a really good weekend.
Did not cycle on Sunday, that seemed to help me a great deal. Too much and you can get burned out.
Emily had a basketball game and her dad came to watch, giving Tina and I a few free hours to ourselves. So we went and had lunch and just chatted.
It always amazes me that we lived together five years and I still love going out and just doing a date kind of thing. I would love more but have learned that sometimes the few and in between make it that much more special.
I gave her her anniversary present early.
Seems that I can never wait to give her presents. When I have the resolve to wait till the actual day, she always looks at me with those big blue eyes and asks what I got her, and I, of course, can never say no to her, go and get the present.
Sometimes if I am really feeling like giving her a challenge I wont tell her nor give it to her, but she just continues on, asking and using those big blue eyes to get her way.
No... I have yet to actually hold out till the day. (no comments here, I know I am a sucker)
So present one Friday night, I did manage to do this right and get her the perfume that she had wanted. She in turn gave me a license plate cover I had been wanting for the motorcycle.
Now you may not think this is a big deal but trust me it is way big. I looked for the first month, looking for a plain license plate cover for the bike. Something without the words of where I bought the bike. Really didn't want flames on it or some strange Harley logo. (Ninja bike is not Harley). I also didn't want to pay $20 for a bike plate that I really didn't like. That just is so not me.
She found one and had it ordered for me.
Now lets get a little back story here.
When we ran off to get married, Tina plotted the course to our time share. Well she thought it would be a good course and so off we went to take a 3 1/2 hour drive to our time share, to get up the next morning and get married.
That 3 1/2 hour trip was not 3 1/2 hours. It was ALL back roads, so we never got above 45 miles an hour and it took us through these roads that... Lets just say you didn't want to break down. So.. This trip took us about 6 hours to complete. Mind you on the way we discovered, the three of us could almost do the entire movie of "Finding Nemo". Each of us remembering our favorite part. Needless to say we had a blast on the 6 hour drive but.. Still... It was an adventure. I think at one point I asked Tina if we were lost and she said no, we were on an adventure.
Well since then, the three of us have had many adventures whether it be by foot or by car we have never been lost but have had a few strange adventures..
So for Tina's birthday last year, I got her a license plate cover that says...
"We're not lost, we're on an adventure."
So the license plate cover she got me... for the bike...
"I'm not lost, I'm escaping."
Could not be more fitting then that...
I love it! Makes me chuckle every time I see it.
Well Saturady rolled around and I gave her a charm for her necklace. This time, two dolphins instead of one. one white gold the other yellow gold. Looks beautiful on her neck and she says she loves it.
The second gift from her to me, a IPOD nano.. So now I can rock out when ever I want.
Yesterday, the actual day of our anniversary, we had a lovely day, cycling, watching TV and just being lazy. There is always something to be said for being lazy on Sunday. ..
So that is it, a nice and quiet weekend for us.
Time to start a new workk week...
Here we go...
