Tender Tuesday
Ok, so I have a reason for the title.
Last night a co-worker and I were playing racquetball and my face got in the way of the ball. Yep, I got hit good. Now its not bleeding nor did we have any such things but man that brought tears to my eyes and I was on the floor trying to make sure my brain was not punctured. It was funny. I was laughing so much, it was hard to concentrate to make sure nothing was too damaged.
Anyway its a little tender this morning, so I wont be blowing my nose any time soon.
(no i dont have raccoon eyes, thank goodness and the swelling in the nose, only i seem to notice so its all good. nothing bad at all. no one has to know!!!)
Training is going well. We are on week 10 I think of our training.
What does this entailed, well let me tell you.
All work week long, we both are on the bike. Now its no more then 30 minutes but we are hitting about 10 miles in 30 minutes.
Then we try and take a day off in the week, and perhaps Fridays as well. I tend to change up a little in the week and add a little racquetball to the mix, or out playing flag football when we were doing that, but now.. Its the quiet before softball season. Then the weekend is upon us.
Now our training is indoors and you will always get better results on the indoor trainer then outside. Just something to keep in mind.
I have been trying with the weekend looking nice, to get out on the bike. Now I am not doing lots of miles about 20 if even that much but still I am out, and its all physical and such, so its a work out right now.
Then on Sunday I try to get on the bike indoors, and do about 2 hours or how ever long the movie is I am watching. Yap you can cycle and watch Mission Impossible 2 if you want. Thank goodness for DVD drives on computers that is all I have to say. That and thank goodness Tina likes to collect movies or I would have nothing to watch.
Now Tina's training schedule is a bit different then mine. She trains the same during the week, but weekends she is all about the indoors. She will do Sat and Sun the same, 2 hours each day of course watching a movie.
She does not like the cold and therefore I can not even pay her to get out of the house at this point in the training. Another month maybe but right now, heck no.
Should be fun and interesting in the next month, April is always fun for us. Sunday softball so I cycle to the softball area, and then Tina will meet me there and go cycling during or after my game. So I can drive home. Let me tell you that is the best work out, cycling then running around for 3 hours, wow, talk about wear a women out. Sometimes we change it up and I cycle home, just depends on if Tina wants to get up early on those days or not.
So... Right now week 10 is under way, and tonight, yep 10 miles is scheduled for me. See if I can do it in under 30 minutes will be tonight's challenge.
Before I sign off, something for everyone to consider....
If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it called CAT LITTER?
